Well, this is awkward… the Super Bowl 50 ad lineup just became like the equivalent of running into your ex at a party. At least, for two razors, it did, anyway. That’s because early on in the broadcast, the DollarShaveClub.com Super Bowl commercial was all about ditching over-priced, over-fancy razors from big name brands.

And then this arrived. This being the Schick Hydro Super Bowl commercial that promotes essentially exactly what the earlier ad was attacking. At least the Schick ad features fancy robot warriors…

And also, at least neither ad is likely to actually be remembered for all that long, so maybe this rivalry will cool before it even starts.
