Did you know that Liam Neeson was “The Man From the Future?” Well LG did. That’s why they enlisted him for their first ever Super Bowl commercial promoting their G6 OLED TV, which is a 4K television with near perfect picture and a price tag that’s only costs thousands of dollars.
In the LG Super Bowl commercial Liam Neeson manages not to shoot, punch, or kick anyone, which is impressive given his recent propensity for onscreen violence. Instead, he merely lends his mysterious gravitas to an ad that is, unfortunately, largely uninspired. Of course, creating a TV commercial to make people want to buy a new TV? That’s no easy task.
