Yep, it’s true! Colonial Williamsburg, the town founded in the early 17th Century (not called “Colonial” then, of course, and for the record even today that’s not really it’s name, it’s just Williamsburg, VA, population 14,000-ish) is getting its very own Super Bowl 50 commercial! At least, that’s true if you live in Washington DC, Philadelphia, or a few other major East Coast population centers.

The rest of the country? Sorry, you’ll just have to not know about this gem of American history. Unless… wait, what if we, an internationally celebrated website, were to share the regional Williamsburg Super Bowl commercial and help a larger audience learn about this slice of American culture? No… no, we should stick to big national ads, right? What? We already shared it? Well then…

(And hey, the Williamsburg Super Bowl commercial is narrated by Tom Brokaw and features some pretty amazing images of American history. It’s a good spot even based simply on its own merits as a production.)
