Last year, we got to see Danny Trejo and Steve Buscemi shill for Snickers. This year, during the 2016 Super Bowl, Christopher Walken, actor, dancer, and odd-speech-pattern-haver extraordinaire will appear in an ad for the automaker Kia.
Mr. Walken’s Super Bowl ad will be all about the Kia Optima, which the South Korean automaker (why do we really bother adding the qualifier of “South” there…?) wants to make clear is not a boring, everyday sedan, but rather is a “vibrant alternative for those determined not to blend in.”
This will mark an impressive seventh consecutive Super Bowl broadcast appearance for Kia, and we’re sure this year’s ad will stand shoulder to shoulder with their past great’s, like the Matrix-themed ad from 2014’s Super Bowl XLVIII.
